Wherever Chris Brown goes, trouble seems to follow. Las Vegas police are investigating the singer after a woman claimed that he punched her in the face on Saturday, January 2.

"It's accurate that there was a battery call and it is currently being investigated," Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department public information officer Jesse Roybal tells Us Weekly. "I can confirm that Chris Brown is part of the investigation."

According to TMZ, a woman named Liziane Gutierrez (who the site says asked to be identified) alleges that Brown, 26, punched her in the right eye after yelling at her when she grabbed her cellphone without security guards catching her and took a photo of him during a private party at his suite in the Palms Casino Resort early Saturday morning.

The woman then left the party and called police but was not taken to the hospital.

In November, a woman was hospitalized after Brown's posse allegedly beat her so badly at a party at the Palms in Las Vegas that she suffered whiplash.

And in May, the embattled singer was named as a suspect in a violent basketball-related brawl that also took place at the Palms. Brown allegedly punched a man while playing ball.

In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna. He was sentenced to five years probation, which ended in March 2015.

In 2013, Brown entered rehab after he was arrested for felony assault in Washington D.C. He later ended up in jail after he was kicked out of a second rehab facility.

A rep for Brown tells Us Weekly that Gutierrez's claims are "unequivocally untrue."

"Ms. Gutierrez was escorted out of the private afterparty at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control," the rep says. "Once she was in the hallway, while waiting for Chris Brown's security to bring out her phone, she had a total meltdown — throwing her purse to the ground and claiming that she 'could buy everyone in the hotel' — as witnessed by numerous people waiting to get into the party. The Palms Casino Resort security also saw her wild behavior via hotel security cameras and immediately came up to the hallway to escort her out of the hotel."

The rep adds that Gutierrez's claim that she had a phone inside the party and took a photo of Brown that led to an altercation "is a complete fabrication."
