Corey Feldman Responds to Tweet From Paris Jackson, Hopes to Talk to Her About Michael Jackson One Day

An unlikely shoulder to lean on. Following his viral Today show performance of his new single “Go 4 It,” Corey Feldman responded to a supportive tweet from Paris Jackson and said that he hopes to chat with her one day about her late dad (and his longtime friend), Michael Jackson.

Jackson had tweeted out to Feldman with the message, “@Corey_Feldman anything you do that makes u happy, people are going to hate on it.. but if you’re happy then it doesn’t matter. hope ur well.”

The Stand By Me actor, 45, replied to the 18-year-old on Saturday, September 24. “@ParisJackson U don’t deserve ANY of it! I hope 1 day we can talk, as Id LOVE 2 tell U + things about your father when he was a young man,” he wrote.

In the past, Feldman has called the legendary “Billie Jean” crooner his “idol.” In his 2013 memoir, Coreyography, he described his special relationship with the pop icon, who passed away at age 50 in 2009.

“Michael Jackson’s world, crazy as it sounds, had become my happy place,” he shared. “Being with Michael brought me back to my innocence. When I was with Michael, it was like being 10 years old again.” Despite rumors, Feldman vehemently stressed in the book that Jackson never once acted inappropriately toward him.

Paris was just one of the many notable names who defended the ‘80s icon in the wake of his headline-grabbing number — in which he exerted some curious choreography in front of a gaggle of winged blondes known as Corey’s Angels.

Miley Cyrus, Billy Bush and Tamron Hall also shared sweet sentiments in defense of the former child star. Prior to the flood of support, Feldman told Us Weekly that he believes he would have harmed himself over the harsh criticism if he hadn’t faced backlash before.

“I don’t care if you’re hiding behind a computer or a keyboard — it’s not an excuse. It’s not acceptable,” he told Us on September 21. “The somebody that you’re talking about is a real person with real feelings and real emotions. And I’ll tell you what, if I hadn’t been through this one thousand times, I might’ve taken my life over it. And then how would everybody feel?”
