Congrats! Courteney Cox is engaged to boyfriend Johnny McDaid, the duo revealed on Twitter. The Snow Patrol rocker and the Cougar Town actress both respectively tweeted on June 26: "I'm engaged to him!" and "I'm engaged to her!"
The Friends alum and McDaid, 37, were first spotted in December 2013 as they attended Jennifer Aniston's holiday party in L.A. In April, the couple's pal Ed Sheeran spilled the beans that they had moved in together.
"I'm not sure that it's public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn't have said anything—but, yes, they're already living together," the British singer told UK paper The Mirror at the time. "Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn’t be happier."
That same month, the future spouses opened up about their relationship—and each other—at the premiere of Cox's directorial debut, Just Before I Go, at the SVA Theatre in NYC.
"He supports me in every way," Cox gushed to Us. "He supports me creatively. He really believed in the movie...and not just because he likes me, though I know that helps."
"Courteney is the most completely confident person I've ever met—at everything," McDaid added. "She gets music. She gets art. She gets the way a scene gets constructed, the way dialogue works. And she puts it all together in her mind and then explains it to the world and makes movies that make people laugh and cry, squirm and jump, all those things."
This will be the second marriage for Cox, who finalized her divorce from ex-husband David Arquette, 42, in May 2013 just shy of their 14th wedding anniversary. The exes were photographed shopping together in West Hollywood on June 12, just one day before their daughter Coco's 10th birthday. Arquette welcomed son Charlie with girlfriend Christina McLarty in April.
