Dakota Fanning is having an awesome autumn.

This month, she's featured in the ensemble in the hotly anticipated The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Even better? She was recently named homecoming princess!

Now 15, the child actress is a cheerleader (she does her own stunts!) at North Hollywood, Calif.'s Campbell Hall Episcopal High School. Cheering the Vikings football team at a game in Encino, Calif. Oct. 30, Fanning was crowned -- complete with flowers and a tiara -- and walked down a "red carpet" with an unnamed football player/Homecoming King (number 47).

Fanning turns her wholesome image upside in New Moon as evil young vampiress Jane, described by costar Michael Sheen as "evil Red Riding Hood."
