Dane Cook's half brother has been ordered to pay him $12 million in restitution after pleading guilty to embezzling funds from the comic.

Darryl McCauley, who was sentenced in October to five to six years in prison on larceny and forgery charges, swiped Cook's money while being paid $12,500 per month as his business manager and transferred it into his own bank account.

McCauley's wife, Erika, was also sentenced to 2 1/2 to three years in prison on two counts of larceny.

"It's a terrible betrayal," the comic told Larry King at the time the charges were originally filed. "Woke up one day and a lot of stuff was missing. There is a good chunk of money that is certainly not accounted for. That's all I can say about it at this point."

A spokesman for Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley told the Portsmouth Herald that the next step in the case is for the couple's assets to be tallied. The pair, who reside in Wilmington, Mass., also own a home in York Beach, Maine and have invested in a local hotel and eatery there.

Wow, he made that much? He was a good actor in Dan in Real Life and Mr. Brooks. Haven't seen his comedy act.

I love Dane Cook. He's hilarious! Sorry to hear that his family betrayed him like that...

Perhaps Dane Cook should be ordered to pay 12 million dollars to the people of the United States. His "Comedy" is certainly worth a bit of restitution.
