Basketball legend-turned-reality TV star Dennis Rodman has checked into an undisclosed alcohol rehabilitation center, his agent told USA Today.
The five-time NBA championship winner has completed several stints in rehab, including his work on season 3 of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew where he appeared with stars like Mackenzie Phillips and the late Mindy McCready.
Rodman, 52, recently returned to America after a bizarre trip to North Korea where he publicly apologized for comments made about a detained American missionary, admitting he'd been drinking at the time.
"What was potentially a historic and monumental event turned into a nightmare for everyone concerned," the star's agent Darren Prince told USA Today in a statement.
"Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally," Prince continued. "The pressure that was put on him to be a combination 'super human' political figure and 'fixer' got the better of him. He is embarrassed, saddened and remorseful for the anger and hurt his words have caused."
