Her daughter was nominated in the same category as Angelina Jolie at January's Golden Globes, but that didn't stop Emma Stone's mother Krista from chatting up the 36-year-old actress at the star-studded event.
"We sat at a table next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which was, like, the ultimate thing to bring your mom to," Stone, 22, recalled during a Monday appearance on Conan. "Because she never drinks, and there was this giant bottle of Moet champagne. . . so she had a lot [to drink]. She was talking to them about their kids, which was really interesting and funny."
(Both Stone and Jolie lost the Best Actress trophy to Annette Bening from The Kids Are All Right.)
After awhile, Stone said her mother "was getting pretty loose. And she was like, 'You guys must be so tired.' Then she was leaning over me to Angelina Jolie. And Angelina's like, 'Yeah, you know, with all these kids. . .'"
Clearly excited, Stone's mother then inquired: "'How old is the oldest? They grow up so fast. Time flies!'"
Stone — whose next movie, Crazy, Stupid, Love opens July 29 — added that she wasn't too embarrassed by her mother's behavior. "I was like, 'Oh boy,'" she laughed. "It was pretty fun."
