Gia Allemand was on the phone with her mother until her final moments.

Add yet another devastating detail to the death of late Bachelor star Gia Allemand. The former reality star, whose suicide attempt on Monday, Aug. 12, was met with an outpouring of public shock and grief, was actually on the phone with her mother, Donna Micheletti, in her final moments, Micheletti revealed in a tearful interview with Dr. Phil McGraw.

"I'm the closest person in the world to her and she didn't want to be alone when she left this world," Micheletti told the talk show host in an emotional interview set to air on Tuesday, Sept. 10. "So she wanted Mommy to be there, I guess."

According to Micheletti, the mother-daughter duo were chatting when the phone call suddenly went silent, prompting her to reach out to Allemand's boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson.

"It destroys me, but if it made her feel better, then that's fine. I don't mind dealing with this," she said, adding that it hurt her to know that Allemand, 29, could have been saved. "I'm really mad that she did this for no reason. In 12 hours it would have been fine. I'm really angry."

After Micheletti got in touch with Anderson, the athlete rushed back to Allemand's home, where he found his girlfriend hanging from her staircase with a vacuum cord wrapped around her neck, according to TMZ. Despite efforts to resuscitate Allemand, however, the reality star died two days later after being placed on life support.

The basketball player and Allemand had reportedly been fighting in the days leading up to her death, with Anderson ultimately telling Allemand: "I don't love you anymore" in one of their last fights.

The Dr. Phil interview also features fellow Bachelor alum Jake Pavelka, who developed a "special friendship" with Allemand after they had both left the franchise.

"I've never lost anybody close to me," the reality star said, tearing up. "Gia really understood me. We got really close after the show. We had such a special relationship. I can't tell you how lucky I feel that I knew her, but I wish it was not for such a short time, because I've never met anybody like her."
