Who wouldn't swipe right for this beauty? Hilary Duff is single and ready to mingle after filing for divorce from husband Mike Comrie in March — and where better to mingle than on Tinder? The Younger actress, 27, joined the matchmaking app recently and had her first date this week.
Duff dished all about her Tinder adventures during an interview with MYfm's Valentine in the Morning, admitting she was "really, really nervous" for the big night. Asked what she was doing on Tinder in the first place, she quipped, "What is everyone doing on Tinder?!"
"I was sitting with my friends one night at the house, and we were joking around," she explained. "In my life, I've always had really serious boyfriends, I've always met people through work, and I've never been on a blind date. So what's the worst that's gonna happen?" (Tempting fate there, Hil!)
She went on to chat about her experience so far, calling the whole process "wildly addicting." And productive, it seems!
"I'm talking to probably about…nine guys right now," the mom to Luca, 3, told Valentine. "Some people don't know [who I am], I think some people act like they don't know but they do, and then a lot of people are like, 'This is a joke, right?'"
As for what she looks for in a potential match? (Listen up, gents!) "I think the first thing is obviously looks, which sounds super vain, but that is what you go for, natural chemistry," she shared. "And then also what they say, like, in their little profile. It has to be funny."
One major turn-off? "I don't want to see a shirtless mirror selfie," she said. "That's instantly a left." (Incidentally, Duff made headlines for her own mirror selfie recently: a sexy bikini shot she snapped after a margarita or two.)
"I don't know, [I like] someone that looks like they do fun things and someone that can make you laugh in their profile," she continued. "My profile says, 'Let's get pizza.'"
The guy she has a date with on Tuesday — someone named Tom — is taking her bowling. "And I like that. I've never dated just like a total normie," the newly single Disney alum said. (Besides hockey player Comrie, Duff famously dated singer Aaron Carter, who still held a torch for his ex as recently as last year.)
Duff said she's been texting with Tom for a while, so they're not total strangers. But if he turns out to be crazy, she has an escape plan. "Hopefully the bathroom window will be big enough to crawl out of," she joked. "No, I'm too nice. I think I'll stick around."
She'll have backup, too. "I'm bringing some friends with me," she admitted. "The first time I go on a Tinder date? I still have my training wheels on! He knows, I've been totally honest with him about it."
Speaking of wheels, the "Sparks" singer already has an idea for her next Tinder date. "I'm talking to another guy, and I think we're gonna go go-kart racing," she shared.
