Best known for playing Lizzie McGuire on the Disney tween hit of the same name, Hilary Duff has also appeared in the films Agent Cody Banks, Cheaper by the Dozen and A Cinderella Story.
Duff has made a name for herself with her pop records, specifically her 2003 album Metamorphosis, which was certified triple platinum and includes “Come Clean,” the theme song to MTV’s Laguna Beach.
After ending a 2-and-a-half year relationship with Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden (who is now married to Nicole Richie), the actress wed NHL star Mike Comrie in August 2010. They welcomed their son, Luca, in March 2012.
After splitting with Comrie in 2014, Duff met singer Matthew Koma after collaborating on her album Breathe In. Breathe Out. In October 2018, the couple welcomed daughter Banks Violet into the world before marrying one year later in a low-key December 2019 backyard ceremony. In March 2021, the Texas native gave birth to the pair’s second daughter, Mae James.
Duff starred on the hit television show Younger from 2015 until 2021. While she was supposed to star in a Lizzie McGuire reboot, she project was cancelled in December 2020 due to “a new creative direction.” At the time, the actress shared that she believed she’d be doing fans a disservice if her character was not presented living the “realities of a 30-year-old.”
