Idol's Crystal Bowersox: Split Was "Bad Timing"

American Idol runner-up Crystal Bowersox says she is coping well despite splitting with her boyfriend Tony the day before the Fox show's finale.
"It was bad timing," she says Friday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "He's a small town guy, and I don't blame him for anything. He's been amazing. He's been my rock through all this, so ... it's all right."

The 24-year-old Ohio native, who has a baby from a previous relationship, won't have time to mourn.
On Thursday, both she and winner Lee DeWyze signed record deals.

"Now the real work begins," she told UsMagazine.com at the Idol finale Wednesday. "My life is never going to be the same, and I’m ready for all of it."

Those people putting negative energy out there must be so burned on the inside... Just please know this...You SING WONDERFULLY! I am a little jealous, i'll admit...hehe, but seriously, don't ever change yourself for the sake of ratings. We obviously love you for who you are and what you stand for, and that's all that matters! No matter how long your dreadlocks are or how many piercings you have, you will always have a large fan base! Don't worry and sing your heart out and keep taking care of your beautiful boy!

I disagree with Jane who says that Simon assures the winner. Not true!! Everyone, including him, thought Adam Lambert should win, but he didn't. Besides, you do not take in to account the people who loved Lee. I spotted him from the moment that he has an incredible voice and so did some of the mentors. He does. (It's not looks, he's cute. If it came down to cuteness, Casey would win hands down.)Lee choked up a bit on the finale, but Crystal was all she's ever going to be. I don't mean that negatively. I mean she has her confidence. She has the singing experience. Lee has no where to go but up, and he has a spectacular voice. I think that is what Simon recoginized in Lee DeWyze. He'll get over his shyness and excel.
I love you, girl, but do something with that hair. Those dreadlocks are dreadful. Is it really cool not to look your best?
I think Crystal and Lee should record together they compliment one another. I liked both of them and no 2 isn't bad look at Adam Lambert.. I can barely remember the winners name last season but I remember Adam..
I was so see Crystal come in second on Idol.She possesses the stage presence and talent to take her beyond this progam that apparently is all labout popularity and not talent. Simon just about assured the winner by always commenting on how Lee was what it was all about his beginnings in a paint store etc. etc.. I will lbuy Crystals records when they come out.
Crystal is an AMAZING singer! They will both be fine. They both have contracts already. People posting about her looks are mean. She has problems with her teeth because of her diabetes. Now she'll have money to get them fixed. Before she didn't have dental ins. or the money to spend to get them fixed. What money she had she spent on her beautiful son! This was a singing competition and she is fantastic. Can't wait for her album!
Lee is a clean cut looking guy, Crystal quite frankly looks tacky, maybe if you didn't have to look at her, you might change you mind about her screaming.She does nothing for me.

Crystal was really robbed of the crown. She clearly beat Lee during the final 3 songs. There were no negative comments about her performances by the judges at all. Unlike the comments made about Lee's performances. Crystal is the clear winner in my book.
Why is it that people always try to claim some ridiculous excuse for their favorite not winning? Both Crystal and Lee are fantastic and will both have great careers. Absolutely loved Crystal from the beginning, then she seemed to wane and coast a little. Lee, didn't stand out at first, but built and built and built. He reminds me of Springsteen & He was my favorite in the end. Last Season - loved Adam from the beginning and Kris grew all season. About 2/3's through the season, I along with just over half of America got sick of the same-o same-o screaming each week. Cool when it's special, annoying when it's everytime (Note to Shibon). Some small minds thought it was an anti-gay conspiracy.

Lee deserved to win. He's the whole package and the best singer. Blowsox Boyle doesn't look good. Anyone who is missing teeth, never washes their hair and has distracting piercing and tatooes all over the place, does not deserve to win. If she sings good, I never noticed. She's too distracting to look at.

It's OK Mama, if it's any consolation, your music career is going to skyrocket and no one will remember the actual winner of American Idol. What's his name again...? Seriously, I forgot!
Crystal was the most talented singer on American Idol....better than everyone put together....it is obvious single girls voted for the winner....the real winner is Crystal who has real talent by far.
I don't think her boyfriend is jealous at all.. he is probably like Jesse does not like the paparazzi that is going to hang with her..and that she will be busy with her music and touring with Lee..!!KEYWORD BOTH..WON
She's awesome. So incredibly talented. Can't wait to hear more music from her.
