John Mayer Quits Twitter

John Mayer has said tah tah to Twitter.
The 32-year-old "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer -- who had more than 3.7 million followers -- has discontinued his account as he prepares to head back to the studio, his rep announced Monday.

He plans to communicate with fans via his blog.

Mayer used Twitter to talk to fans about a variety of issues. He famously denied being a racist following a controversial Playboy interview and even used his account to invite University of South Carolina students to see a free show earlier this year.

He isn't the first star to leave Twitter.
Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and LeAnn Rimes have all, at one time, bid farewell.
