The actor and pilot, 56, often fuels up at the airport while en route to his home in Islesboro, off the Maine coast. It's unknown if he was in the cockpit when his dogs died.

Airport director Rebecca Hupp told the AP her deepest sympathies are with the Travolta family.
In January 2009, Travolta and wife Kelly Preston's 16-year-old son, Jett, died after suffering a seizure at the family's vacation home at the Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.

15This is such a terrible tragedy! I really feel for the travoltas. If they are like many people, then they may as well have just lost another two children. what a sad thing to happen.
Ok, this is just the weirdest thing ever. how can TWO dogs get killed while being walked. I can only imagine they were off leash. So terrible. Thanks for hair illusion. I didn't even notice and that is a true LOL.
OMG! My heart once again aches for he and his family!
Jill, I though the same thing about the hair! I had to do a double take to see what was going on with her hair. That is a wild optical illusion!

How sad for their daughter so much sadness.
Can this man catch a break?!
So sad about their dogs. I love John Travolta.
Jill, thats funny!! but this story is not. Well, at least they know Jett will take good care of the dogs in heaven....
So sorry. Just too bad this had to come so soon after Jetts death. Thanks Jill for pointing out the poster thing as I was wondering what the heck was up with her do! LOL
That's too bad. On an unrelated note, I thought the hair on the poster behind Kelly's head was hers!
Aww that's such ashame. I know it's nothing in comparison with losing their son but what a tough thing.
How awful! How much more tragedy can they take?
awwww, so sad! kind of strange story - dogs being walked, I'm assuming on a leash, and the person walking them wasn't hit/hurt? when I first looked at Kelly, i said WOW, look at that buffon hair-doo, but I get it now, lol . time to get my eyes checked!
That's just awful. So sorry for him and the family.
