Mom knows best!
Bachelor fans aren't the only ones giving their two cents about Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray's recent split. The former baseball player's mother, Lauren Goodhart Murray, reacted to the couple's broken engagement via Facebook on Friday, Jan. 9.
"Yes it's true, Andi & Josh have chosen to break off their engagement. Although there was no one thing that precipitated their decision, they were thoughtful & wise in their decision and I'm happy they figured this out before getting married & having kids," Goodhart Murray said on her official page.
"The engagement time did it's job in helping them determine what's best for them," she continued. "I know we all wanted the storybook ending but I trust The Lord has an even better journey for each of them and that makes my heart happy. Thank you for your love and messages. I'm overwhelmed & humbled by your words. XO."
Us confirmed on Jan. 8 that Dorfman, 27, and Murray, 30, split just five months after Dorfman's Bachelorette season 10 finale. "After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways," they said in a statement. "We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best." See photos of the couple during happier times.
During their short time together, Dorfman threw Murray a surprise 30th birthday party, learned to whip up some of his favorite dishes in the kitchen, and made several red carpet appearances (including on NYE) with her then-hubby-to-be. Just three days before announcing their breakup, the Atlanta natives attended ABC's season 19 premiere event for The Bachelor in L.A.
