Gone but never forgotten.

British driver Dan Wheldon was killed in a fiery 15-car pileup Sunday at the Las Vegas Indy 300. The 33-year-old two-time Indy 500 winner was driving the race car sponsored by Justin Timberlake's William Rast clothing line, and Ashley Judd was in the stands cheering on her racer driver hubby Dario Franchitti.

"I was deeply saddened to hear the news on Dan Wheldon's unfortunate and untimely death," Timberlake, 30, said in a statement excerpted by E! Online. "He was a great driver and a strong supporter of William Rast Racing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of loss."

Judd, whose husband was not seriously injured in the deadly accident, was clearly shaken up. "Devastated," she tweeted after Wheldon's death was confirmed. "As we continue to absorb Dan's accident -- we forget, remember, experience shock, denial anger [and] pain."

It gets me everytime someone says "untimely death." We all die on time and on the day we're supposed to. It's a sad story but it's reality.
