“It hasn't been a great week for dogs so with a heavy heart I must tell you, sweet Chester (aka Chedder cheese) has passed away,” the actress, 30, shared alongside a snap of the dog snuggled in a blanket. “We rescue these angels blindly and have no idea what problems they may have … I’m still in shock but I just keep feeling blessed to have him in my life even for a small amount of time. He was such a joy – hilarious ears and followed me everywhere I went. He loved people so so much – loved being held and cuddled. Slept right on my pillow every night. I can sleep knowing that he felt extreme love towards the end of his life. Thank you @pawworks for blessing me with the big eared wonder.”

Cuoco adopted Chester this past October.

Just last week, Cuoco revealed that her family’s dog Petey passed away. “He was basically the first dog I ever had … I was gifted him on my sweet 16,” the adoption advocate wrote alongside a collage of throwback photos on Instagram on December 31. "My folks gave him the greatest life and he taught us what it meant to love an adoption pup. I have since named my corporation after him (peteypie inc) and he has brought a lifetime of joy and laughs to our entire family. I know he will now enjoy doggie heaven. This little guy, I will never ever forget.”

Cuoco is also mom to pit-bull mix Norman and a puppy named Ruby, as well as a horse named Zaza.
