Time to end the beef. Kanye West begged two of the biggest companies in the music streaming industry, Apple Music and Tidal, to end their rivalry in a new social media rant on Saturday, July 30.

The “Famous” rapper, 39, took to Twitter on Saturday afternoon to tell his 24.6 million followers that the competitors’ “beef is f–king up the music game.” He then called upon Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tidal owner Jay Z, fellow rapper Drake, manager Scooter Braun and Apple Music’s Jimmy Iovine and Larry Jackson to get “on the phone or in a room this week!!!”

“F–k all this d–k swinging contest. We all gon be dead in 100 Years. Let the kids have the music,” West wrote.

Moments later, the “Stronger” rapper added, “Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve [Jobs].”

West is one of Tidal’s many co-owners, along with Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Calvin Harris, Lil Wayne, Chris Martin, Alicia Keys and several others. Jay Z, 46, brought together the dozens of A-listers at the streaming service’s launch in March 2015. Three months later, Apple started its own streaming platform.

Since then, Apple Music and Tidal have been battling each other with exclusive content, making it difficult for fans to stream music by their favorite artists without paying for more than one service.

Apple Music’s high-profile releases have included Drake’s Views and DJ Khaled’s Major Key, while Tidal’s exclusives included Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Rihanna’s Anti and West’s The Life of Pablo.

Last month, The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple was in “ongoing” talks to acquire Tidal from Jay Z, but noted that a deal might not materialize. Tidal has since denied the rumor.
