As unconfirmed rumors swirl about an engagement between Katy Perry and Russell Brand, the couple spent some holiday time near one of the world's most romantic landmarks: India's Taj Mahal!

After spending Christmas with her parents and siblings in Santa Barbara, Calif., Perry, 25, Tweeted about her post-holiday trip to India Dec. 27, "TEA COMES FROM INDIA, CAN'T FOOL ME BRITS!"
On Tuesday, she shared a snapshot of her with boyfriend Brand in front of the country's picturesque tomb. "He built this for me," Perry jokes in the caption beneath the photo.
British tabloids have claimed that the singer and the British comedian, 34, became engaged over the holidays, but but neither Perry nor Brand have addressed the rumor.

The kooky couple began dating in September 2009.
Before her jaunt to India, Perry enjoyed what sounds like a picture-perfect, old-fashioned Christmas at home with the Perry family -- complete with carolers and a gingerbread house.

I agree with Nickie & Skye. I was fan of Katy & Travis couple (and missed them :( a lot). They were together since she's started in music struggling to get a record deal. I think Travis is more HOT, WARM, SIMPLE, SWEET & Cuuty/Puurty than this promiscuist, sexual,playboy, narcisist ,superficial man. Travis went to India on summer & walked to the most poor places just for charity campaign and those guys go to the touristic and luxury places. That;s a different. But God sees everything. Good Luck.

India is not a destination a coupla airheads would pick, it's part of the "cradle of civilization" and gives me the impression that Perry & Brand have depth and intelligence beneath their carefully constructed professional personas. It's pretty hilarious how you people seem to judge these two based on #1, their looks, and #2, their music and comedic work and not as human beings who happen to be entertainers; and successful ones I might add.
