Jon Snow, are you for real? Game of Thrones may have its twists and turns every Sunday, but nothing as bizarre as this. According to the show's star Kit Harington, he didn't know his real name was Christopher until he was 11 years old. During an interview with Glamour, the smoldering actor didn't have much of an explanation as to why his parents didn't say anything earlier.

"I haven't got a clue! I think they could see that I wanted to be Kit, but Christopher was a bit of a tradition," he explained to the mag. "My brother's name is Jack, but his real name is John. Kit is traditionally an offshoot of Christopher, it's just not used that often. My middle name is Catesby."
The British hunk, 27, is full of engrossing facts these days. During a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael, Harington revealed he's obligated to keep his shoulder-length curls for the HBO series.
"It has its own contract definitely. I never thought I'd say that about my own hair," he said on June 10.
"I'm just not allowed to cut it, and I didn't realize this until recently. I wanted to cut it. I've had long hair for ages and they were like, 'no, no, no, that won't be happening.'"
"I actually don't do much to my hair," he added to Glamour. "It gets fussed over a lot on projects because there's a lot of it and it's boy's hair, but as far as me, I tend to let it do what it wants."
