I don't think most breastfeeding moms walk around exposing themselves. Most women use blankets or other means to be discreet. If you don't like it, go eat in the bathroom or your car yourself.
Kadie- don't be freaking ridiculous and grow up will you? Nobody is saying that women can't breast feed their child. What they're saying is that buying a receiving blanket for $3.00 isn't going to put you into debt. If you really think the way you do, then maybe you should protest at every topless club in the world. Obviously you don't think that they're for gratification either right? You're telling me that you don't get turned on when your nipples are sucked? They are a sexual organ as well as an organ that feeds babies. It sounds like you are the one who is ridiculous and immature. I mean, really how hard is it to cover yourself with a blanket? Also if breast exposure is no big deal, then why don't all women walk around topless, not just the breast feeding ones?

2 things- 1st, please, no big deal, the girls have been aired out in public many times before. 2nd, in most other cultures, breastfeeding in public is no big thing. I worked in a portrait studio, women of other cultures would whip em out and let their baby feed while I'm trying to talk picture packages (yes, it threw me off at first, but then I learned to ignore it) Babies have to eat. As long as mom doesn't have her boob hanging out w/ out the baby, it shouldn't be a big thing. Breastfeeding a baby is not sexy. If you think it is, see a doctor.
@Julie- No wonder mothers don't know to breast fee in private if YOU are still in SCHOOL and are teac h i n g (profanity to US) them how! LOL TOO funny! The "natural" excuse doesn't fly. As was pointed out, sex and going to the bathroom are natural but we don't do those things in public. A woman that breastfeeds can go to a restroom, her vehicle, numerous private places. Plus, shouldn't women have JOBS??? That would require pumping breast milk and using a bottle when she was working anyway, so no reason not to use a bottle when in such a public place. Whipping it out is classless.
The question is, what won't Kourney Kardashian do in public? The answer is, nothing. Her mom taught her that her only way of making money is thru exploitation of what she does and making more scenes the better. she'd crap in public if someone paid her 5 dollars. She'd do Scott (or anyone else) in public for a few dollars. She and her sisters are fame wh0res who by definition all have their price. Nice job mama Kris. Hopefully the two youngest sisters will follow a different career path and have enough confidence in themselves NOT to have to marry the first athlete who pays them attention.

If you don't want to see a woman breastfeeding, you're more than welcome to leave or cover YOUR head with a blanket. There are a lot of people that I would rather not see eat, and I never ask them to take their plate to the bathroom or stay home.

I've never liked the Kardashians but I'm glad Kourtney isn't afraid to breastfeed her baby in public. People need to get over it. If the baby is hungry, have at it. It's perfectly natural and good for the baby.

Good for her, personally I never thought she was the type to be so unselfish. Usually they worry about saggy breasts. I have a selfish little neice who never cared about her sons health just the way she would look. SHe ended up having implants ANYWAY ! Selfish little brat of a niece . Kourtney definately has those mom hormones. Good girl , she's doing the best for her baby , they need that immunity , especially that first colostrum.
I have to say, I agree with both sides. Much to the shock and horror of my sister, I breastfed my babies at restaurants and they never liked the blanket over their heads either. However, it is very easy to do it modestly without being brass and 'in your face', no pun intended.

To those who tell you to cover up, I say that it all depends upon the child. My baby refused the blanket over her head. She rips off any blanket I try to cover her with, so why bother?! It's ridiculous that we Americans have oversexualized everything. Now a woman can't just feed her child without people having either perverse thoughts or heaping scorn upon her. We are a sick society!
