Keeping in touch for the sake of the kids. Kourtney Kardashian brought her kids to visit their dad, her ex Scott Disick, at a rehabilitation center in Malibu on Sunday, Nov. 1, and sources tell Us Weekly that the visit was a positive one.
“Scott was really happy to see the kids and was very loving with them,” a source tells Us of the nearly two-hour reunion. “He visited with them inside for awhile and then took them outside to admire the view from the balcony.”
According to the insider, Disick, 32, gave Mason, 5, a pair of binoculars and they were “spotting birds and trying to look for other animals” together. The father-of-three also made sure to include Penelope, 3, in on the fun.
“Kourtney stood back and let Scott do his thing with the kids,” the source adds. “But she seemed to be on decent terms with Scott and they were chatting from time to time.”
Another source tells Us that Disick “decided to stay a little longer” at the facility to make sure that he’s back on the right track.
“He’s making progress but wants to make sure and there was no harm in staying a bit longer so he decided to stay another week or two to be safe,” the source says.
Last week, it was Kourtney’s mom, Kris Jenner, who took all three kids to visit Disick in rehab.
In photos obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the Kardashian matriarch was still wearing her striped pajamas from daughter Kim’s baby shower (held at family friend Shirley Azoff’s Beverly Hills home) when she shepherded her grandchildren into the facility on Sunday, Oct. 25.
“Scott is aware that no judge would allow him to take those kids for a weekend in his current state,” a source told Us of Disick’s hopes to clean up his act. (As Us exclusively reported, the troubled reality star checked into rehab last month, just as news of Lamar Odom’s hospitalization broke.)
Kourtney, 36, and Disick split this past July after a nine-year relationship after he was spotted getting close with his ex Chloe Bartoli in France.
“They’re amicable for their kids,” another source told Us. “But Kourtney is officially done.”
