Kris Humphries Booed, Heckled at Nets Game in NYC

Kris Humphries didn't exactly get a warm welcome back playing with the New Jersey Nets at NYC's Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
In his return to the sport after re-signing with the team for a one-year, $8 million contract, Kim Kardashian's future ex-husband was booed and heckled by 20,000 fans the moment he stepped on the court to face off against the New York Knicks.

"That was not a smattering of boos," MSG announcer Al Trautwig mused during the melee, "That's 'villain in the Garden' kind of booing."
One attendee tells Us Weekly that some fans even taunted the 26-year-old power forward with chants of "Reggie Bush," Kardashian's long-term NFL beau with whom she split in early 2010.

After Humphries was benched, the crowd screamed "We want Humphries!" -- but apparently only so the reality star could be heckled some more.
"He's now become the most hated man in the NBA," MSG commentator Kelly Tripucka said of Humphries, married to Kardashian for just 72 days before she filed for divorce.
Humphries took the taunts in stride, telling ESPN: "I don't know…I felt like Rudy out there…I was so focused on the game, I couldn't hear that."

The Knicks defeated the Nets 88-82.
"It's a tough situation," said Carmelo Anthony, small forward for the Knicks, whose wife LaLa is one of Kardashian's BFFs. "New York fans [are] New York fans. I like it, to be honest with you. That's how it should be."

Have to reply to Monica Moody's comment. Kris was shown at his worst on those Kardashian shows. I think it unfair to judge him from what is obviously a tainted view. Kris Jenner is no fool and she won't let her clan be shown as the "loser" so it is better to do it to the new guy on the block. I don't think any of those girls gave him a chance and he was not afraid to strike back when he was being depicted as the "bad guy". They did the same to Kourtney's boyfriend until everyone realized he must not that bad or he wouldn't still be there. So they had to pick on Kris. I think it is disgusting that they booed him. Kris is only trying to get on with his life after a very humiliating relationship. I think Kim is the one who should be booed. She is the quitter after 72 days. She didn't even give it a chance. I hope Kris goes on to do wonderful things with his life. Kris, don't listen to the hecklers - you are a real sweetheart who speak his mind, and if others can't take it, they shouldn't ask for it. Go out there, shoot those baskets and get on with a fabulous life. I'm glad you are back on the court. By the way, my son who is 28, looks exactly like your double.
I was there at the game and I can tell that the few fans whop started it were a bunch of losers and the crowd was just in a raunchy mood - remember the season ALMOST NEVER STARTED, so there was a lot of pent-up tension. Sorry, but NYorkers are just IDIOT FANS sometimes. I am very embarassed of them! TEAM HUMPHRIES!!! Kris, you are awesome, you will recover from these loser antics - you fell down the rabbit hole (ala Alice in Wonderland!)
This guy needs to grow up. If anyone wasn't ready for marriage it was him. Playing tic for tat, calling his spouse demeaning names & not compromising. He came off like a big ol' brat. No one wants to marry a boy. I wish them both the best...separately.

I think Kris is a nice guy! Immature for sure - not mean there is a difference. (also the show was scripted) As far as Kim goes she is experienced and knows how to play a men. She has shown herself as dishonest, a bully and caring more about money than morals (not talking about the sex tape) using charity, sweat shops and etc...) I hope Kris has the best year ever and keeps moving forward.
