Reading between the lines. Though Kylie Jenner and Tyga have yet to speak out about their headline-making split, which broke on Friday, Nov. 20, the pair both took to their social media channels later that day to express some potentially subliminal messages.
Jenner, 18, shared a short video clip on her Instagram and Snapchat accounts, of a beautiful multicolored sunset, and then a few seconds of her face. In the background, Bryson Tiller’s “Been That Way” acts as the soundtrack for the otherwise wordless snippet.
The reality star mouths the words, “I wanna know how we became so distant, girl,” a possible nod to her relationship with Tyga.
A few hours later, Kylie shared another photo, this time of her profile superimposed over half of sister Kendall’s face, with the caption, “other half.”
Earlier in the day, Kendall, 20, had shared a cheeky Instagram post with fans, of a woman bent forward with her derriere aimed straight at the camera and a middle finger sticking up through her legs, a wordless message fans interpreted to be aimed at her sister’s ex.
Tyga, meanwhile, didn’t appear to be too fazed by the breakup blowup, and posted a short Instagram clip of himself rapping to his new single, “Happy Birthday,” while a pal bops along next to him.
Later the 26-year-old rapper shared a snap of himself in an extravagant room with L.A.’s city lights in the background and the simple caption, “Focused.”
