Wilmore, 53, started his attack declaring, “That’s right, I’m not letting it go, motherf—kers!” He then went on to address the defense plan from Cosby’s lawyers, led by Monique Pressley, whom The Cosby Show star hired amid ongoing fallout from the many sexual assault allegations against him.

“You hired a female black lawyer and you didn’t go with Claire Huxtable?” Wilmore quipped before noting, “That’s right, this a—hole’s doing something he made sure all those models and actresses couldn’t do, he’s fighting back.”

Wilmore took particular issue with Cosby’s legal defense that using quaaludes with sex was a widely accepted practice back in the ‘70s and ‘80s, when the alleged encounters happened.

Larry Wilmore slammed Bill Cosby on The Nightly Show on July 27.

“So basically the lawyers are going with the defense, ‘Everyone wants ‘ludes! Want some ‘ludes? Here, take some ‘ludes!’” Wilmore joked, mocking Cosby’s memorable voice. “Well, if this is the case, why did he say he never used them? Oh, oh, oh, me, me, me, I know the answer! Because he wanted to be the only one awake for the raping.”

The former Daily Show correspondent also debunked Cosby’s claims that he had not committed any criminal offenses, despite his damning testimony.

“Consistently denying something in the face of overwhelming damning evidence doesn’t make you innocent, it makes you the New England Patriots,” Wilmore said, taking a jab at the professional football team’s “Deflategate” scandal involving deflated footballs.

After poking holes in each of Cosby’s defense plans, Wilmore concluded, “This is America. Innocent until proven guilty, right? Nope, that’s for a court of law, not for the court of public opinion. Which, by the way, is the only courtroom available right now, because Cosby seems to avoid actual courtrooms almost as much as he avoids actual pants.”
