“It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie,” the Saturday Night Live actress, 48, wrote. “Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.”

Not long after she shared her frustration on social media, designer Christian Siriano let Jones know that he is more than happy to create something special for her. The Project Runway alum, who has worked with celebrities such as Orange Is the New Black’s Danielle Brooks and A-list muse Christina Hendricks, tweeted a few waving hands emojis at the comedian. Jones responded with enthusiasm, writing, “YAAAAAASSSSSS.”

While it’s hard to believe that any designer would pass up an opportunity to style Jones (who recently posed for the cover of Elle magazine’s July 2016 issue), this isn’t the first time a star has been turned down by the fashion industry when it comes to putting together a red carpet look.

Two years ago, Jones’ Ghostbusters costar Melissa McCarthy said that she was in search of an Oscars gown, but several brands were not interested in having her wear their collection.

“When I go shopping, most of the time I’m disappointed. Two Oscars ago, I couldn’t find anybody to do a dress for me,” McCarthy told Redbook magazine’s July 2014 issue. “I asked five or six designers — very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people — and they all said no.”
