The ultimate flashback Friday! Sean “Diddy” Combs pulled out all the stops to kick off the Citi Concert Series on the Today show on Friday, May 20, bringing plenty of familiar faces from his Bad Boy Records family up on stage with him for a nostalgic reunion.
The 46-year-old rapper, who founded the star-studded record label in 1993, excitedly welcomed everyone from Busta Rhymes to Mase to Lil’ Kim to the hit-filled concert.
Diddy — who was clad in a jean jacket, plain white T-shirt, dark shades and gold chains — and Mase kicked off the set with a reprisal of their hit “Bad Boys for Life,” which famously featured a number of boldfaced names in its 2001 music video, including Ben Stiller, Mike Tyson, Snoop Dogg and Shaquille O’Neal.
Other hits that the crew cycled through included Mase’s “Feel So Good,” The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money Mo Problems” and 112’s “Peaches & Cream.”
Lil’ Kim, who recently made headlines for her new, unrecognizable look, took to Instagram to gush excitedly about the reunion.
“Bad Boys with a Bad Girl #BadBoyFamily,” she captioned one shot of herself with the fellas sitting down for an interview. In another snap, the “How Many Licks” singer shared a photo of herself on stage greeting fans in the crowd.
“Coming through!!! #PuffDaddyTODAY #BadBoyFamilyReunionTour,” she captioned the epic image.
The Bad Boy Records reunion comes just before Diddy, Lil’ Kim, Mase, 112, Mario Winans, Total, Carl Thomas, The Lox and French Montana embark on a 25-date U.S. tour, starting with a two-day celebration at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
