Lindsay Lohan was booked at Los Angeles County's Century Regional Detention Center at 10:35 a.m. Friday, L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells UsMagazine.com.

He says she was "very cooperative, very demure and quiet. She's doing everything that is asked of her."

Just like her previous stints in the slammer, she will be held away from other inmates in a 12x9 cell until her next probation violation hearing, set for Oct. 22, he says.

Asked if the actress, 24, could be released early, Whitmore tells Us, "The only way this inmate would be released is if the judge issues another order."

The actress - who was thrown back behind bars because she failed at least one random drug test - served nearly two weeks in jail in July for violating terms of her three-year-old DUI case. She then went to rehab, but was released early Aug. 24.

I think LiLo needs to spend some serious time in rehab...away from her parents, friends, and the media..let her come to terms with her addiction, and get ahold of it...she can come back.....IF SHE WANTS TO...and people stop covering for her. Let her stand up and take responsibility for her actions... For once MAKE her be an adult.....

What did they expect--her to be bucking, kicking and screaming? What a stupid story...and you ran it last time, too, USMag...Good luck, Lindsay. Let this be your wake-up call that you need to start acting like an adult (just because your parents are incapable doesn't mean you need to join the ranks). Get clean, prove it, and get your career back!

She should've never been let out of jail to begin with. All she has done is thumb her nose at the judge's orders. Throw her

I say keep her for 1 year. And is she can't get her sorry ass off drugs by then, keep her 2 years. And while you are at it, throw her sorry loser of a mother in with her.
