Love does a body good! Macaulay Culkin, whose gaunt appearance in recent years has worried some fans, looked noticeably happier and healthier on Friday, Nov. 22, when he touched down in Paris with his as-yet-unidentified new girlfriend.

Taking advantage of the city's reputation for romance, the 33-year-old Home Alone actor landed at Orly airport and immediately headed off in search of a red rose, an onlooker told Us. He then presented the beautiful bloom in a bottle of water to his mystery woman.

"It was a simple gesture but very touching," an eyewitness observed. "It suggests they must be very much in love."

The source added that the former child star was "smiling and joking" a lot with his brunette lady love. "Macaulay was looking great -- nothing like the disheveled character we've seen in recent years," the onlooker said. "He's clearly got his act together."

It certainly seems that way. Culkin -- who famously dated Mila Kunis for eight years until 2011 -- has kept a low profile since rumors surfaced in 2012 that he had a severe heroin addiction. (His rep vehemently denied the claims.) But he's been looking well and happy in recent months, even making a rare appearance with the cast of the Adult Swim cartoon Robot Chicken at New York Comic Con in October.

A source says the star is enjoying his "bohemian lifestyle" and has made a good friend in Babyshambles singer (and Kate Moss' ex) Pete Doherty, who has a flat in Paris. "Macaulay loves it here," the insider told Us. "He enjoys being with an extreme character like Pete, and Pete likes him a lot, too. They sit up all night talking about the arts over bottles of wine and putting the world to right. They have become great friends."
