Exclusive: Madonna Rejected by New York Giants' Victor Cruz at Super Bowl

She may be dating Brahim Zaibat, 25, but at this month's Super Bowl XLVI, the 53-year-old halftime performer had her sights set on New York Giants standout Victor Cruz.

"She wanted an introduction," a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly. Days after the Feb. 5 event, at an Oster Media bash in New York City, pals were still trying to snag the singer some face time with Cruz, who helped his team triumph over the New England Patriots.
But a rep for the singer -- who teamed up with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for an electric 12-minute halftime show -- insists Madonna was trying to connect with him for professional reasons.
According to the rep, Madonna didn't want to meet Cruz, who has a month-old baby with PR exec girlfriend Elaina Watley, but "needed footage of him doing his salsa dance."

"She wanted to try it at a press conference," the rep added.
