Drama! Mariah Carey disappointed fans on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when she failed to show up to pre-tape her performance for the 82nd annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.
Shortly after TMZ reported that the songstress had held up crew for three hours in freezing rain while reportedly on a phone call about her estranged husband Nick Cannon, Mimi tweeted on Wednesday, Dec. 3: "Last night's situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you."

Cannon's ex kept her promise however, later tweeting before she finally performed live on Wednesday: "You've kept me here, in your hearts, and I keep you in mine always. We are #lambily! #ThereForMe. I will be opening tonight's live show in Rockefeller center with 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'!!!! Tune in at 8pm on NBC!"
The "Hero" singer also shared a snap from backstage of herself getting ready with the caption: "Backstage @ Rockefeller center! See you tonight!! #500Hours #AIWFCIY #MC20."
Carey, along with Lady Gaga and other stars, helped celebrate the annual tradition, where 45,000 LED lights glow atop an 85-foot-tall Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center.
