Mario Cantone Marries Partner After 20 Years Together!

Comedian and Sex and the City star Mario Cantone recently wed Jerry Dixon, his partner of 20 years, he announced Friday on The View.

Cantone and musical theater director Dixon made their union official thanks to New York state's landmark legalization of same-sex marriage.

"I got married for the same reasons you did," Cantone, 51, told new bride Joy Behar on The View. "We're older now. We've been together 20 years. After 20 years you're like, 'Thanks for the anti-climactic honeymoon government!' "

Presiding over the happy occasion was pastor Jay Bakker, son of the late Tammy Faye Bakker Messner.

Added the blissed-out groom of the special day: "It was beautiful, just my family there. I love him. He's a good man."
