Melissa Gorga on Teresa Giudice’s Legal Troubles: “She Knows I Have Her Back”

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga on April 10, 2013

Thick as thieves! After years of infamous feuding, Melissa Gorga and sister-in-law Teresa Giudice "are in a much better place than we've been in a long time," Gorga told Andy Cohen during a Sunday August 11 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. "We are better together," explained Melissa, married to Teresa brother Joe. "It's just more fun, it's better, it's easy. We have a lot in common, as much as we don't have in common. We just have a good time together."

The renewed bond between the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars couldn't come at a more crucial time for Giuidice, of course: Teresa and husband Joe Giudice now face 50 years in prison based on 39 counts of fraud; the pair were indicted late last month and were released on $500,000 bail each July 30.

"Of course, I've reached out and spoke to Teresa [since the indictment," "On Display" singer Melissa, 34, noted. "She knows I have her back, and that the kids, of course, are the number 1 priority, and you know, that's what Joe and I are always here for . . . no matter what."

Joe and Teresa share daughters Gia, 12, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3; the Gorgas share kids Antonia, Gino and Joey. The little cousins' happy bond is "key," Gorga noted. "That's the most important part. My husband has one sister."

The Giudices' next court date is scheduled for Aug. 14.
