Melissa Gilbert Files for Divorce from Bruce Boxleitner

Melissa Gilbert filed for divorce from her hubby Bruce Boxleitner on Monday, Us Weekly confirms.
Gilbert, 47, was married to Boxleitner, 61, for 16 years. In March, the former Little House on the Prairie star confirmed to Us that the couple had split.
"We have loved each other for a very long time and we share four incredible sons together," Gilbert said in a statement. She and Boxleitner have a 15-year-old son together, Michael; Melissa also has a son named Dakota, 22, from her four-year marriage to Bo Brinkman. Boxleitner has two sons from his marriage to actress Kathryn Oglivy.

The duo will seek joint custody of Michael, and Gilbert seeks not to pay spousal support to Boxleitner.

21Wow I only just found out about Melissa & Bruces Separation & Divorce. And I do agree with few of you that Bruce looks better than Melissa. Sorry Melissa, but something is not sitting right with your face. Is it botox gone wrong or bad cosmetic surgery? Why oh why do many American Actors, Actors in general but especially American Female Actors feel compelled to go so radical in having facial surgery or botox implants or the like. Being natural is the only way to go & age gracefully. Plus there are many natural, holistic & cruelty free ways to look & feel younger without cosmetic surgery. Anyway enough on that I am saddened to read about Melissa & Bruce's divorce, after 16 years. I admire them both as actors with quality, diverse performance & integrity. All the best to you both & family.

Melissa, I have always admired you. YOu didn't need that surgery. I hope you can have something done to make you look more like the beautiful you that you were. when Botox gets to your brain, it makes you do stupid things!!!
Wow I definitely don't like to hear about couples splitting. I do wish that more women would age naturally and leave that Botox and plastic surgery alone. I think celebs should just stick to improving their dental challenges and call it a day.

I wish she would leave her face alone she is only making herself look older. Back when she was pursuing him she just had to have him forever she said, who knew forever was only 16 years.

"Why can't women just age gracefully"..so you are not a woman because you do or do you think you are the on exception? Yes, there are some women -and men- who lack self esteem and dignity, but it's definitely not all of them, many do have a brain and like who they are, it was their life that gave them lines and wrinkles, and they accept it. Melissa G. looks like a mutant (and not like a young one), and that's sad. SHe had sch a charming, beautiful face, be she could look fantastic without all the stuff she has done. Naaah, this is bad..there are other actresses who age very gracefully and look even better than her, like Meryl Streep, Glenn Close. With her money she can afford the best cosmetical treatments, even a little hyaluron or botox here and there, like Jennifer Aniston, who looks great and nothing's overdone. Or just go "au naturel", anythings better than...that.
I like Melissa, but she looks bloody horrible, she does even look herself...so sad.... Why cant women just age gracefully, instead of looking like wax figures?

Bruce Boxleitner is still the hottest man alive, I think. I never thought Melissa Gilbert and Bruce were right for each other. I wish them both happiness. Sara Gilbert just broke up with her partner recently. Not a good year for these sisters.
