Naughty M.I.A.!

When the singer offered an assist to Madonna during Sunday's Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, she didn't experience a wardrobe malfunction, but instead it was viewers at home who got a shock when she flipped her middle finger to NBC cameras.

Donning a Cleopatra-style getup, the rapper (real name: Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam) flipped the bird directly into one of the cameras during her interlude of Madge's new single.

The gesture comes eight years after Janet Jackson experienced a nip slip wardrobe malfunction when her breast, covered with a nipple guard, became exposed during the 2004 halftime show with Justin Timberlake.

A $500,000 fine was levied by the Federal Communications Commission against CBS for airing the controversial Jackson moment.

What's the big deal?? I see far more "offensive" gestures on primetime television. Why is everyone acting as if the Super Bowl is some sort of religous event? We see people giving the middle finger everyday in traffic. For some reason it's more offensive on television?? People are always looking for something to complain about! Another thing, why is everyone making a big deal about Madonna's age? I'm so tired of hearing "she looks good for 53" or "it's time for her to retire." I don't hear anyone telling The Rolling Stones or AC/DC to retire. The U.S. needs to get the stick out of its ass and stop being so uptight.

She didn't flip off the camera. It was her index finger. She never put up the middle finger. pause it on time and you can see it's not the middle finger. It seemed like she was gonna put it up the second time but she stops herself

I watched the entire performance and didn't even notice this...I was more shocked by the lengths Madonna will go to appear young...she does NOT know how to age gracefully..and her new song is like a PARODY of an 80s Madonna song...

Why did CBS get fined? The game was on NBC

I don't know what's more irritating - the fact that in 2012, a performer still feels the need to do something like this for attention, or the people who are so uptight that they get "offended" by it...
