Miley in mourning. Miley Cyrus is "broken" after announcing early Wednesday, April 2, that her dog Floyd has passed away. The "Wrecking Ball" singer, who's owned the adorable Alaskan Klee Kai since 2011, first shared the sad news via Twitter.

"Today is the 2nd worst day of my life," 21-year-old Cyrus disclosed to fans on Tuesday. Hours later, she elaborated.

"I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away," the singer wrote early Wednesday morning. "I am broken."

"I know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?" she wrote alongside a sweet snapshot of Floyd, licking her face. "I am miserable," she added.

Along with her tweets, a devastated Cyrus shared several photos via Instagram, including two close-up shots of her bleary eye. "Sad pupil," she captioned one image. She also tweeted a photo of a fortune cookie message after a meal at P.F. Chang's which read, "Your love of life can carry you through any circumstance."

The pop sensation, currently in the midst of her worldwide Bangerz tour, took a moment to address fans during her grief. "I'm sorry in advance if I am not myself tomorrow Boston," she wrote. "I will try my best to be my best."

This is the second time in less than two years that Cyrus has lost a pet. Back in December 2012, Cyrus announced that her Yorkie mix puppy Lila had passed away. The former Disney Channel star is also mom to four rescue dogs, Ziggy, Happy, Mary Jane, and Penny Lane.
