Miley Cyrus is in mourning after announcing on Twitter Tuesday, Dec. 11 that her 2-year-old dog Lila passed away.

"Can't sleep," she tweeted late Tuesday night. "I miss my baby girl." The 20-year-old singer also shared a photo of herself cuddling and kissing her late Yorkie mix pup on the nose.

"I wish this feeling would stop . . ." Cyrus wrote the next day. "I wish there was something I could do to bring my baby back. I'd give up anything in this world . . ."

In October, Cyrus announced on Twitter that Lila had been hospitalized and asked fans to pray her. The former Hannah Montana star is also a parent to dogs Ziggy, Floyd, Happy, Mary Jane and Penny Lane.

"In desperate need of a hug," Cyrus, who became engaged to her Last Song costar Hemsworth, 22, in June, tweeted.

"I can't pull my s–t together. I hope you all understand," she explained to her fans. "I know everyone who knows me even a little knows how much my babies mean to me."
