There she … isn’t. Miss Florida 2017 Genesis Davila has been stripped of her crown just days after winning it July 16. The 24-year-old Puerto Rican-American stunner was dethroned after being accused of violating rules, Grant Gravitt, executive producer of the Miss Florida USA pageant, told Miami's ABC Local 10 on July 22.

"We have a zero-tolerance policy on rules," Gravitt explained. "Whether it's something major or minor, it's all about keeping an equal and level playing field. Unfortunately, our title holder sought an unfair competitive advantage, and that's just not acceptable in our system."

According to Gravitt, Davila was axed after she used professional hair and makeup artists. The organization was informed of Davila’s decision to use pros following complaints from fellow contestants.

"We finally had substantial proof to link her and her vendors to her room on an evening which they were not allowed," Gravitt said.

Davila wasn’t shy about sharing her makeup artist’s information either. The model posted a photo on Instagram of herself getting her makeup done on July 9 with the caption “Working his magic @ildegoncalves 🎨😘 0️⃣7️⃣ DAYS✅ #missflorida2017.”

Davila has since denied that she violated any rules.

“I still feel like I’m Miss Florida USA because I was crowned Miss Florida USA that night,” she told Miami’s NBC 6 on Monday, July 25. “Even though all these false accusations and allegations and rumors have been wandering all over social media, I know that I have proof to show the world that none of this is true."

Runner-up Miss Sunny Isles Beach USA Linette De Los Santos has since been crowned Miss Florida 2017 in place of Davila. "I'm just excited to have this opportunity," De Los Santos told Miami's Local 10 on July 22. "I didn't think it was going to happen, especially like this."
