Odette and Dave Annable have started a new adventure in their marriage — moving to the Big Apple.

Us Weekly caught up with the actress at the launch of Clos du Bois Rouge at Rose Bar in NYC Wednesday night about the couple's big move to NYC from Los Angeles.

"I freaked out when I first found out we were going to move to New York. I'm just very much a creature of habit and I'm a California girl," Odette, 27, explained to Us. But the House star is happy she made the move with her hubby of nearly two years.

"I think everyone should live in New York City if they ever get the chance at least once in their life. It's such a great place to live; there's a different energy about living in the city," she said. "I'm really really enjoying myself . . . Not to mention the date nights!"

Odette and her actor husband Dave, whom she married on October 10, 2010, have been enjoying exploring hot spots in NYC. "We're going all over different neighborhoods and trying out different restaurants. Jazz bars and things like that — the greatest things."

"I find that if you drink in L.A. it's a whole ordeal because you have to buy a driver or you have to find a designated driver," she explained. "In the city you can just walk home or catch a cab, so you drink a lot more. I'm going to put that to good use."

And Odette said she and Dave really want to start a family, but maybe not while they're still living in the Big Apple.

"We definitely want kids. It'll be another few years," the actress explained. "In New York? I'm definitely freaked out about that for a minute, but we really want to have a family. Family has always been number one for us. I think we want to work a little bit now, but definitely in a few years."
