A tabloid report claiming that Patrick Swayze has stopped receiving medical treatment for his pancreatic cancer is "not true," his rep tells Usmagazine.com.

"Patrick is continuing treatment," says his rep. The National Enquirer had reported the 56-year-old actor -- who revealed he was fighting Stage 4 cancer about a year ago -- decided to cease treatment after doctors told him they couldn't stop the disease's progress. "There's nothing more doctors can do for him," the Enquirer quoted a family friend as saying.

In an ABC primetime special earlier this month, Swayze denied that he was on his deathbed but said he may have only two years to live. "I'd say five years is pretty wishful thinking," said The Beast actor, who is currently co-writing a memoir with his wife, Lisa. "Two years seems likely if you're going to believe statistics. "I want to last until they find a cure, which means I'd better get a fire under it."
