Getting better every day!
On Wednesday, Adele stepped outside her London home -- the first time the 23-year-old singer has been seen in public since she underwent throat surgery late last month.
The "Turning Tables" chanteuse looked happy and well-rested -- and perhaps a bit slimmer -- as she greeted a pal and carried along her adorable dachshund in a bag.
The Grammy nominee is expected to "make a full recovery" from the procedure at the Massachussetts General Hospital's Voice Center, in which laser microsurgery helped repair damaged vocal chords and recurrent bleeding from a benign polyp.
"I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all," Adele wrote on her website about a week after the procedure. "The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."
The chart-topping star, who canceled all concerts and appearances in 2011 shortly before her surgery was scheduled, reportedly remains on complete vocal rest.
