Sasha Farber is getting candid about navigating the dating scene following his breakup from Janel Parrish.
“I wouldn’t say I’m enjoying [it], but I’m single, and I just need a second,” Farber, 42, exclusively told Us on Friday, October 23, at the Minky Couture Takes NYC VIP Red Carpet Celebration with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea. “I just need a second to have some time to myself before I could even go on any dates or do anything.”
He continued, “I think we all need time, and that’s all I got.”
The former Dancing With the Stars pro dated Parrish, 37, for three months this summer. (The now-exes reconnected years after the actress’ appearance on season 19 and following their respective divorces from Emma Slater and Chris Long.)
“You never know where life is going to take you. Reconnecting with Sasha has shown me a new kind of love and happiness that I didn’t know existed,” Parrish previously told Us in June at the Race to Erase MS Gala, where she made her red carpet debut with Farber. “I think that those are some of the most beautiful and exciting things in life, and sometimes it’s the most unexpected things that can be the most beautiful things.”
Parrish further praised Farber as the “most brightest light to everybody that he meets.”
“He [has] the kindest heart to everyone, to his friends, his family or if he just met you walking his dogs,” the Pretty Little Liars alum added at the time. “He just has the biggest heart and is so caring and loving.”
Neither Parrish nor Farber have publicly addressed their breakup, with the pro dancer staying focused on his dancing career. (Farber last appeared as a pro on DWTS during season 33, but made a brief cameo in the season 35 premiere last month.)
“It is so nice to hear so much positive stuff from the fans from Dancing the Stars. It really is a dream come true. I’m very, very lucky,” he gushed on Friday of support for his ballroom tenure. “It’s so funny, sometimes, most of the time, I speak to the fans and I don’t even know them, but you end up telling them things because there’s just so much support. You end up sharing life stories with them, but you don’t even know them. The support that you get is phenomenal.”
As for a potential DWTS return, Farber teased he’s ready to lace up his dancing shoes, adding, “I got my phone ready to go. If they call, I’m there.”
