Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise were spotted taking a commercial flight in NYC on Thursday -- and it looks like they were planning on taking a nice nap during their flight.

Holmes, 33, had her arms full carrying travel gear to make the flight more comfortable for the mother-daughter duo.

The actress -- who dressed stylishly for her flight in a polka-dot top -- carried a large Little Giraffe Luxe Leopard throw, a small pink blanket, a book and two bags. Dressed all in pink, Suri, 6, followed beside her mom while carrying a stuffed animal and adorable Hello Kitty! suitcase.

More than one month after Holmes filed for divorce from Suri's dad Tom Cruise, an insider tells Us Weekly that the newly single mom is adjusting just fine to her new life.

"She's doing really great. She's so strong, she's an independent girl with her own ideas," the insider shares. "She is fine."

Suri also seems to be adjusting well. Cruise, 50, took his little girl on a vacation to Disney World earlier in August. Suri dressed up as her favorite Disney Princess, Little Mermaid's Ariel, while walking around the park. She also got to go swimming with her dad at Typhoon Lagoon in the Happiest Place on Earth.
