She's busy touring America, but country singer and songwriter Taylor Swift found time to make a new furry friend.
On Thursday, Swift, 21, used twitter to introduce the world to her new cat. "Hanging out with my new roommate, Meredith," the famous cat lover tweeted along with a photo of her precious new pet.

Meredith made friends on the web instantly, even attracting a nod from pop singer and fellow cat lady Katy Perry who tweeted back to Swift, "OH MY GOSH. Is this kitty for real?!?!" And later added, "I want to cuddle that kitten so hard! Miss u :)."

In addition to Meredith, the "Sparks Fly" singer already has two dobermans, Bug and Baby. But Meredith is the only new recipient of Swift's love and attention. In Oct., Swift told Ellen DeGeneres, "I don't have a boyfriend. I don't even have like kind of a boyfriend. I don't have someone that I'm texting that is a guy that might someday be my boyfriend."

Swift is currently on the American leg of her Speak Now World Tour and will next perform in Jacksonville, Florida Nov. 11.
