William — an operational captain in the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue Force — worked with his three crew members, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a police helicopter and coastguard units to search the waters for 90 minutes. Fifty minutes into their quest, the wind became too strong, forcing William and his crew to stand down. The search was suspended and will resume again Dec. 2.
