Ramona Singer Steps Out Without Wedding Ring, Looks Somber After Divorce Filing

Ramona Singer without her wedding ring on January 30, 2014
A somber Ramona Singer stepped out without her wedding ring in NYC on Jan. 30 after filing for divorce from husband Mario.

Single in the city. Two days after filing divorce from husband Mario, Ramona Singer was spotted out for the first time near her Manhattan home on Thursday, Jan. 30. The Real Housewives of New York City star, 56, looked somber as she took her dog, Coco, for a walk.

Singer, wearing little makeup, bundled up in a white winter coat for the outing on the chilly Upper East Side. While chatting on the phone, she pulled off her left glove to reveal that wasn't wearing her wedding ring. Instead, the Bravo star styled a large blue ring on her middle finger. (Singer, who has a True Faith Jewelry collection, has been known to change up her ring bling in the past.)

Singer filed for divorce shortly after sources confirmed to Us Weekly that she and Mario had separated after 27 years of marriage. Last October, Singer denied reports that Mario had cheated with — and impregnated — another woman. The estranged spouses, parents to college-aged daughter Avery, have already started dating other people, sources confirmed to Us. Singer was spotted on a sexy date with a younger man named Travis Millard at The General restaurant in NYC on Jan. 23.

Singer tweeted a telling quote by author C. JoyBell C. on Friday: "We can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better."

The Bravo star also posted a photo of a gift she received from Housewives costar Carole Radziwill. "Can't believe @CaroleRadziwill took time out of her trip to send me these beautiful flowers," she shared with a photo. "I LOVE them!"

Singer wasn't so receptive to well-wishes sent by former BFF and Housewives costar Jill Zarin on Twitter, writing, "Think it's sad she feels the need to use my personal business to try to make herself relevant."

In a statement to Us Weekly, Zarin said, "I think that it's going to be very hard for Ramona to re-live and watch the next season of Real Housewives. I'm sure it has been a difficult time and I only wish her the best. I think Ramona's very strong and will survive." (Zarin will next appear on a Feb. 7th episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?)
