Rep: Chris Klein Is in Rehab

Days after his second DUI, Chris Klein has voluntarily checked himself into rehab, his rep tells UsMagazine.com.
"After recent events, Chris was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years," his rep tells Us. "He understands now that he can not beat this disease alone. He thanks everyone for their support as he takes all the necessary steps to deal with his addiction and asks for privacy while doing so."

On Friday, a source tells Us the American Pie actor, 31, checked into a 30-day alcohol addiction program at the Cirque Lodge in Utah, where actresses Eva Mendes and Mary Kate Olsen have been treated.
He may stay longer than a month if need be.
Last Wednesday, Klein was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in L.A. His blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit of .08.
He was also arrested on drunk-driving charges in 2005.

Klein split with actress Ginnifer Goodwin in 2008. Before that, he was engaged to Katie Holmes.

Maybe Katie dodged a bullet with this one. Sure Tom is kinda nutty, but he does have a lack of a career driving him to drink. Man, I used to think Chris Klien was so freaking hot.
Maybe he drinks to numb the pain of giving his daughter Suri over to Tom Cruise.
How come these celebs - if you can call him one - always have to go to these cushy, pampered places instead of a REAL one? The first time McKenzie Phillips got clean it was because she went to a strict boot camp rehab where she had to scrub floors with a toothbrush - kept her clean for a good 15 years. Cirque Lodge on the other hand, seems to have done wonders for Lindsay Lohan. Oh, and Chris, while you're in there getting your daily massage and going on nature hikes, maybe you might want to talk to someone about your woman-hating issues as well.
Oh thats too bad. I hope Suri's father gets all the help he needs. Maybe then he will admit he is her biological father and end this whole charade.

Standard procedure after a celebrity is arrested: say you're going into rehab. Of course, the person only makes a cursory appearance at said rehab center, maybe for a week or so, but that's enough time to make the DUI disappear. Oh and throw in a PSA to be shown on MTV and the debt to society is paid. And now to congratulate yourself for being such a fine upstanding citizen, go have yourself a drink while you're driving home from court. This vicious cycle will never end until someone gets killed by one of these losers and then there will be lots of hand-wringing and cries of "Why didn't somebody do something about this earlier?" These days, being a celebrity is the same as being James Bond: they have a license to kill. And we know they've gotten away with that too (Rebecca Gayheart, Matthew Broderick). But I'm sure Chris Klein has learned his lesson and will never ever do anything illegal again ever. Yeah, right!!
Hope he gets the help he needs. It is a very hard disease to overcome for some people.
