Jon Gosselin's name may have been removed from the title of his TLC reality show, but he wasn't.

Despite weeks of speculation that the network wanted to boot the father of eight, 32, from the series because of his club-hopping reputation, his rep told that he was not kicked off.

"He was not fired," Mike Heller told Us on Tuesday.

The network also maintains he will continue to appear on the show, only less often. The newly renamed Kate Plus Eight -- which will take effect beginning Nov. 2 -- will continue to focus on the lives of the young Gosselin twins, 8, and 5-year-old sextuplets but with a deeper focus on Kate's role as a single mother.

What will Jon do with all that extra time?

A source told Us Gosselin is "still working out the details" for his next projects. In the meantime, he has been shopping around his own reality show called The Divorced Dads Club, costarring Michael Lohan, among others.
