British soul singer Joss Stone was the target of an alleged murder and kidnapping plot, with two men arrested Tuesday near her rural home in Cullumpton, England, the Associated Press reports.
Ages 30 and 33, the suspects "intended to commit a criminal offense," detective inspector Steve Parker told the AP.
British paper The Sun reports that the alleged criminals were armed with swords, rope and a body bag plus maps and aerial photos of the star's estate. The men are currently being questioned at a police station, but have not yet been charged.
But Parker added it was "important to stress that no properties have been burgled and no individuals have been harmed."
Although a publicist for Stone, 24, confirmed that the British singer was aware of the ongoing case, it is not known whether she was at home at the time of the arrest.
Grammy-winning prodigy Stone (a star of Showtime's The Tudors) was one of Prince William and Kate Middleton's guests at their April 29 wedding in London.
