Real Housewives of New York City newcomer Jules Wainstein and her husband Michael are divorcing after eight years of marriage, her rep confirms to Us Weekly.
The decision comes after the season 8 star learned her husband was allegedly having an affair.
“It has nothing to do with the show,” her rep tells Us. “They had issues for awhile but Jules was blindsided by this.”
Blindsided, indeed.
As fans of the hit Bravo show are well aware, the parents to Rio, 2, and Jagger, 5, gave no hints of trouble during season 8. Jules and Michael have even been on hand to help pal and costar Dorinda Medley reel in her rocky relationship with boyfriend John.
During her RHONY debut on the current season, Jules revealed she met Michael, a principal at Private Capital Group, when she was just 24 years old outside of a French bistro in New York City. They moved in together after just three weeks of dating and were engaged a year and a half later.
Neither have addressed the split on social media.
During a March interview with the New York Post, Jules explained she’s always wanted to be on reality TV. “I never thought it would actually happen. It’s still like a dream,” she said. “I love attention. I kind of get high off of taking risks. So I couldn’t say no.”
