Russell Brand Won't Seek Katy Perry's Money Despite No Prenup: Report
This teenage dream is officially over.
An attorney for Russell Brand filed final divorce papers to end his marriage to Katy Perry on Tuesday, according to TMZ.
The British comic, 36, first submitted papers on Dec. 30 of last year in a move that blindsided "Firework" singer Perry, 27.
Married for 14 months (they wed on an Indian tiger sanctuary in October 2010), the quirky former couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, Us Weekly has previously confirmed.
Yet TMZ claims that Brand, although he could be entitled to 50% of Perry's massive earnings during their brief union, will not seek any of Perry's money. "This divorce is as amicable as it gets," one source told TMZ.
Perry earned $44 million between May 2010 and May 2011, according to Forbes.
